Safe arms are not always that of a lover. Or family. Safe arms are the arms of anyone who puts your soul at rest, be it family, lovers or friends...someone who lets you fall into a space of mind that isn't plagued with whatever might be destroying you right now. Safe arms can belong to anyone...sometimes they're your own! Sometimes there aren't even arms holding you, like a pet. No one can decide who will be their safe arms, but they can always decide that they no longer feel safe. When that happens it can be a crushing feeling. The healing will be hard. But it's so worth it in the end.
